Emma Berg – President
Emma Berg is 1325 Policy Group’s President. During four years she has worked as the Project Manager for Sida’s International Training Programme (ITP) 1325: Women, Peace and Security for programs in the MENA region, a national program in Colombia and Global programs, at Indevelop. Mrs Berg has also served as board member at the Swedish Women’s Lobby. Prior to joining Indevelop she was the Secretary General at Operation 1325. Mrs Berg also has experience from working with leadership development and feedback, with a special focus on gender. She has a MSc in Political Science from the University of Lund and have experience from working in Kenya, South Sudan, Colombia, Liberia and various countries in the MENA region.
Gerda Elisabeth Larsson – Vice President
Gerda Larsson is Managing Director at Giving Wings and Futura Foundation. The foundations focus on women’s health and empowerment in various countries such as Nepal, Senegal, Kenya, Congo and Pakistan. Previously Gerda has worked with women’s rights, impact investing and M&E both in the private sector and in the NGO sector.
Gerda is passionate about women’s rights and gender issues and has previous experience from working with UN Women national committees in Sweden and Georgia. She is one of the founders of the Urban Dynamic Planning Forum in Sweden. She has a BA in Urban Planning and a Masters in Development Politics from Stockholm University.
Daniel Tagerud – Treasurer
Daniel Tagerud is working as a SAP Buisness Analyst for Thermo Fisher Scientific where he is responsible for logistics processes. He has previously worked for Electrolux with global sales and distribution processes. Daniel has a Masters in Political Science and has studied Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University and Victoria University of Wellington.
Johan Averstedt – Member
Johan Averstedt is Sales Director Nordics at Unomaly with almost twenty years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, and alliances in the U.S., India, Singapore, South Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. Johan has a M.Sc in Materials Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and an MBA in International Business from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and Concordia University in Canada.
