1325 Policy Group’s Emmicki Roos to take up position in Afghanistan

1325 Policy Group is happy to announce that its Executive Director, Emmicki Roos has been recruited to an expert position at UN Women in Afghanistan. The task is to support the development of the country’s first national action plan (NAP) on Women, Peace and Security.

Emmicki Roos will be based in Kabul for six months, starting in the beginning of November, and work in an advisory role to the Afghan Ministry of Women’s Affairs. Her focus will be on the implementation process and developing a monitoring mechanism for the action plan.

Emmicki will return to her role as Executive Director after her assignment in May 2015. 1325 Policy Group congratulates her on the new position and looks forward to her return to the organization.
